Qatar intends to put design at the center life to drive and complement it's economic growth. And they chose fashion as one of the first initiative to drive design appreciation. To instigate this, Daya was approached to realize an incubation center dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship for Qatar's growing fashion and design industry. The 7 objectives were, accelerate, connect, inspire, complement, equip, promote and empower.

Daya build the groundwork with field observations (Qatar Business Incubation Center) and directed storytelling from mentors, practitioners, fashion designers & entrepreneurs. The positives, pain points and 'what ifs' were consolidated to define the overall design direction.

With this, Daya set in motion the realization of the world's first and only fashion incubator with 3 design principles; creating emotional connections, nurturing creative confidence & building a fluid eco-system.

From receiving the initial brief, Daya was excited to work on this project. Working with an organization that is one of the main driver of Qatar's economy, we had to think big, while applying practical approach that allow the incubation center to foster the 'next' fashion designer from Qatar. It was a project where we used innovative techniques to promote innovation within.
